Features & Benefits:Two Components:
Scorpio TS features cobalt chromium alloy with LFIT surface treatment that may reduce the potential for polyethylene wear. It also has a single medial/lateral radius between femoral and tibial articulating surfaces to help maximize contact area and potentially reduce polyethylene stresses. This decreases the potential for polyethylene wear. Left and right femoral components, with raised lateral flange, are designed to help improve patella tracking. All Scorpio TS Femoral components are compatible with both PS and TS inserts for intraoperative flexibility.
Features and Benefits :Femoral Bone Augmentation Design
- Distal and posterior femoral augmentation are mechanically attached to femur
- Femoral bone augmentation blocks: Distal 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm
- Posterior femoral bone augmentation blocks: Distal 5mm and 10mm
Offset Adapters
- 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm offset adaptors can be positioned radially, allowing placement of femoral component relative to canal
Stem Extension Design
- Cobalt-chromium cemented and titanium fluted non-cemented stem extender options address all approaches to IM fixation
- Stem interchangeability minimizes OR inventory; one set works for both femoral and tibial components
- Non- cemented stem lengths for femoral and tibial: 80mm, 155mm
- 12 each cobalt chromium and titanium-fluted diameters (10mm – 19mm; 21mm, 23mm)
Cobalt chromium alloy, built into all Scorpio TS tibial components, is designed to produce excellent wear characteristics at the modular junction. A broad keel stabilizes the component on poor quality bone, commonly seen in revision tibias. The expanded projected area and normalizations that may be obtained through Scorpio TS Tibial Components have the potential to increase load-carrying capabilities.
Features and Benefits :Tibial Bone Augmentation Design
- Bone augmentation blocks are cemented to the tibial tray
- Tibial bone augmentation blocks: 5mm, 10mm
- 5-degree full augmentation wedge
Offset Adapters
- 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm offset adapters allow tibial tray radial positioning about the stem extender for bone coverage for tibial applications
- Offsetting capabilities minimize tibial tray overhang when utilizing stem extenders
Tibial Bearing Inserts – UHMWPE
- TS inserts provide posterior stabilization, varus/valgus and rotational stability
- TS inserts available in 10mm-24mm thicknesses
Stem Extension Design
- Cobalt-chromium cemented and titanium-fluted non-cemented stem extender options address all approaches to IM fixation
- Interchangeable stems minimize OR inventory; one set works for both femoral and tibial components
- Non-cemented stem lengths for femoral and tibial components: 80mm, 155mm
- 12 each cobalt chromium and titanium-fluted diameters: 10mm-19mm; 21mm, and 23mm
